Common Question About LiiT Care Connect

For Parents


LiiT Care Connect is a two sided marketplace connecting families with child related service providers.

Signing up is free! Once you have entered your basic information and receive verification you will be directed to setting up your service offering or booking a service provider.

Families can book service providers by using the MESSAGE tab on the left sidebar.

ID verification of Service Providers is mandatory to proceed with listing services on the LiiT Care platform. As an extra safety and security feature on the platform, service providers are encouraged to earn an enhanced safety badge, by going through an optional enhanced police background check.

Our system supports an automatic online payment process. LiiT Care Connect uses a safe payment gateway for all transactions.

Parents pay only 3% of the transaction fee.

All transactions are conducted on the LiiT Care Connect Platform. Whether a buyer uses a credit or debit card, we handle everything, and ensure the security of your personal details. LiiT Care Connect is committed to the highest security standards.

The safety of both service buyers and providers is our top-most priority. We encourage our members to follow the COVID 19 best practices outlined by Alberta Health Services. For Service Providers


For greater exposure and business growth, we connect you with families who need you. LiiT Care Connect is a platform to help parents find you.

Creating an account with us can be done in a few easy steps:
  • Provide basic information such as name, address, phone number.
  • Verify your identity using a government issued photo ID and complete a police check.
  • Add banking information to accept payments.

Under ADD SERVICE OFFERING from the homepage, fill in the following:
  • Your ABOUT section, including information about your training, qualifications, or facility.
  • Your dayhome type (private or licensed), availability (full-time, part-time, casual), and current spaces available.
  • Whether or not you are available for last-minute requests.
  • Your accepted age range.
  • Your location or preferred location range.
  • Your phone number and email address.
  • A checklist of additional services you offer, such as a babysitter or nanny preparing meals or helping with homework, or a dayhome doing preschool-readiness classes.
  • Your day, program, or hourly rate (parents will see total price including the admin fee & GST).

Service providers have an option to accept or decline job requests at their own discretion. Service buyers must provide the necessities for the service provider to deliver their services this includes in person and online services. To protect yourself and the service users ensure that all communication is carried out within the platform.

LiiT Care Connect values your privacy. Your data is secure at all times, and we will never share your personal information with third parties; unless we are required to do so by law. Cyber security is our top-most priority, and we endeavour to ensure that appropriate technology is in place to reduce fraudulent or inappropriate content from our liitcare.com platform. We pride ourselves with protecting and securing the platform from cyber vulnerabilities and attacks. If you feel that a profile or a message is a scam, fraudulent or inappropriate, then report it to safetyandprivacy@liitcare.com .
LiiT Care Connect takes all reports seriously and treats them with the utmost priority.

Providers pay 14% of each transaction.

When you list your childcare services on LiiT Care Connect, we consolidate all your communications here. The MESSAGES tab on the left sidebar is where all your back-and-forth with potential clients will stay. Use this communication tool to interview and learn more about both parties, prior to making a decision. Communication done between both parties outside the LiiT Care platform reduces access to information needed should there be an incidence of miscommunication or misunderstandings between the parties.

The onerous is on the Service Provider to ensure that their profile displays their true modes of travel. If a profile has a designated driving status, then the Service Provider must ensure that they have the appropriate vehicle and all other driver safety equipment and meet any insurance and legal requirements by the Province of Alberta to transport children from one point to another.

Service providers who are minors need parent/ guardian consent and sign up assistance.

There are some third-parties involved i.e., Screen Canada, Vouched, Stripe. Screen Canada is involved in the background check of the providers. Vouched uses artificial intelligence to help companies verify the identity of their clients. This software analyzes images of photo identity documents including passports and driver's licenses. The technology compares a user's selfie to confirm identity. Stripe is a secure payment processing for online transactions for internet businesses.
